COMPANY DESCRIPTION
PORC (Public Opinion Research Center/Yoron Kagaku Kyokai) is one of the oldest research organizations with non-profit corporate charters, authorized by the Japanese Government in 1946. In 1947, PORC introduced a random sampling method to select the representative units from a total population, that is the first time in Japan. Since then, as a Japanese pioneer of survey research, PORC completed more than 5980 researches.

PORC specializes in a broad range of research activities as applied to public opinion, marketing and advertising research areas. At the same time, PORC provides highly accurate data (valid and reliable) coming from a full range of research methods; survey (mail, telephone, personal and group interview), observation and experimentation made by highly skilled pollsters/marketers, and well-trained interviewers in the nationwide network poll system. Moreover, more importantly, PORCfs research is characterized by high ability of identifying and solving research problems as our research findings reports show.
